National Honor Society members sell candy grams

This year, the National Honor Society members wished to sell something to commemorate the Thanksgiving holiday. The senior members decided on selling candy grams, which are colorful bags of candy with a small note written to the person they want to send it to.

Senior Hannah Corvin started selling the bags of candy to be delivered the day before Thanksgiving. SAbout 90 bags of candy were sold.

“I was surprised the candy grams sold so quickly. People bought way more than I initially expected,” said Corvin. “Erin Polakovsky and I packaged up the bags with the notes stapled to the bags.” She said some NHS members passed them out during first period.”

Sophomore Colby Cain received one during first period.

“It’s nice to know people are thinking of you,” she said, “especially during the holiday season.”

“I love when organizations in the school do things like this,” said senior Alyssa Gaborko. “It just lets you know people are thinking of you. If someone is having a bad day, it definitely brightens it up.”
