Wrestlers begin chase for state gold
This weekend marks the start of the battle for state gold that wrestlers have been working for since the start of the season.
Starting today, three Southmoreland wrestlers start the chase for state gold as they open up the tournament today (March 8).
Both Tyler Griffiths and Jaden Datz have byes advancing them from a preliminary round to the 1st round. Griffiths will wrestler Cole Matthew of of Reynolds on bout number 107. Datz is set to wrestle Will Chess of Mercer in bout number 130.
Ryan Mauro will wrestler for state gold right away in bout number 49 against Walking Klinger of Newport.
