Fabian keeps busy as sponsor of various high school activities
Throughout the entirety of his life, Mr. Chris Fabian, has always made involvement in school his main hobby.
Mr. Fabian is a world history teacher at Southmoreland High School. Other than teaching, Fabian is also Southmoreland’s club sponsor for the Youth Education Association (YEA) along with the assistant coach of girls’ soccer at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
Fabian now consumes his time with activities at SHS and UPG, but throughout his life, he has put dedication into several different schools.
“In high school, I was the vice president of five different clubs” said Fabian, a Southmoreland graduate.
As a high school student, Mr. Fabian made his involvement in his school and Southmoreland School District his job. After graduating from high school, Mr. Fabian continued his passion for school at Saint Vincent College.
“I like the small school mentality of Saint Vincent College, and since I came from Southmoreland, that was definitely something I was looking for,” Mr. Fabian said.
While receiving his bachelor’s degree in history and minor in education, Mr. Fabian served as his class president, along with winning the title of Saint Vincent Homecoming King.
After graduating college, Mr. Fabian student taught for Derry Area School District before taking his position at Southmoreland. Mr. Fabian is currently the sponsor for the Youth Education Association.
